Registration now open; five events on fall slate

September signals the start of school — and the start of GAP Winter Series thoughts.

Registration for the fall slate is open. Cost is $40 per person per event, plus a $35 cart fee per event. Entrants are accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis. The GAP Winter Series schedule is as follows:

The GAP Winter Series is open to all male and female members of GAP Member Clubs, as well as members of the Philadelphia Section PGA and professionals at GAP Member Clubs. All players must be 18 years of age or older. The GAP Winter Series began in 2008 as a means of offering players of any skill level an opportunity to compete in tournament golf during the normally quiet, offseason months.

Celebrating Amateur Golf since 1897, GAP, also known as the Golf Association of Philadelphia, is the oldest regional or state golf association in the United States. It serves as the principal ruling body of amateur golf in its region. The Association’s 274 Full Member Clubs and 75,000 individual members are spread across the Eastern half of Pennsylvania and parts of New Jersey and Delaware. The GAP’s mission is to promote, preserve and protect the game of golf.
