GAP Open moved to Doylestown

| History |

A venue change has been announced for the 116th GAP Open Championship.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the Open will now be held at Doylestown Country Club. This marks the first time Doylestown will host a GAP Major Championship in their 104 years of existence as a club.

The William Flynn design will be a true test of golf for the Open field. Doylestown’s 18 holes mix in beautiful vistas while providing a unique variety of shots.

Dates for the Championship remain Oct. 5-6.

Originally set to be played July 13-14 at Galloway National Golf Club, the #GAPOpen was then postponed until the current date. Qualifying was also cancelled for this year.

GAP

Celebrating Amateur Golf since 1897, GAP, also known as the Golf Association of Philadelphia, is the oldest regional or state golf association in the United States. It serves as the principal ruling body of amateur golf in its region. The Association’s 288 Member Clubs and 75,000 individual members are spread across the Eastern half of Pennsylvania and parts of New Jersey and Delaware. The GAP’s mission is to promote, preserve and protect the game of golf.
