Starting TimesIf size of field warrants, 1st & 10th tee, AM & PM Starting.
TiesThe qualifying number and ties will gain entrance into the Championship. There will be no playoff for qualifying positions or alternates.

Format36-hole individual gross stroke play, two-day event. With a cut to the low 60 and ties for the second round.
EligibilityOpen to Member Club golfers with handicaps of 7.0 or lower.      ROUNDS min: 10     HCP INDEX min: -6  max: 7  
 All players who wish to compete in the Patterson Cup on August 7-8, 2018 at Applebrook GC and are not exempt under the Qualifying Exemptions must qualify at one of the qualifiers.

FieldThe field of 144 players will be determined by the Patterson Cup Qualifier held at HoneybrookGC, Yardley CC, Elkview CC and exempt entries.
Practice RoundsPractice rounds are not available.
ParingsGroups of three.
Starting TimesNormally beginning at 7:30 AM on intervals determined by pairings. If size of field warrants, 1st & 10th tee starting will be utilized. The field will be cut to the low 60 and ties after the first day and re-paired for the second day tee times.
CartsAutomotive transportation is not permitted in the event. Players may carry their own bag, hire a club caddie or bring their own caddie.  
PrizesDetermined by size of field.
Ties4-hole play-off for low gross at the conclusion of the second round. Second place ties will be awarded duplicate prizes, prize money ties to be broken by using the USGA recommended scorecard tiebreaking method..
TrophyHeight: 20" - (cup alone 15" high). Ornate sterling silver loving cup with applied handles mounted on double wooden base with silver collar. Engraved with individual winners since 1900. NOTE: The Silver Cross, which represents the stroke play championship of the Association, will be awarded to the player returning the lowest total score in the Patterson Cup and the qualifying round of the Amateur Championship.
