Andrew Arnold of Lancaster Country Club, a junior at Lehigh University, led the Mountain Hawks to victory Sept. 14-15 in the Bucknell Invitational at Bucknell Golf Course. The Landisville, Pa. resident posted rounds of 74, 76 and 70 to finish tied for third overall with a 220 total. The win marked Lehigh's first since April 2009.
Zach Arsenault of Little Mill Country Club, a freshman at Alvernia University, finished tied for third in the Messiah Golf Invitational Sept. 11 at Blue Ridge Country Club. The Medford, N.J. resident posted a 2-over-par 74 to lead the Crusaders in scoring.
Andrew Baldo of Hartefeld National, a junior at Wilmington University, led the Wildcats in scoring at the Guy Harvey Invitational Oct. 8-9 at PGA National in Palm Beach Garden, Fla. The Landenberg, Pa. resident posted a three-round total of 230.
Dan Bernard of Aronimink Golf Club, a senior at Bucknell University, earned medalist honors in the Bucknell Invitational Sept. 14-15 at Bucknell Golf Course in Lewisburg, Pa. The Malvern, Pa. resident posted rounds of 69, 71 and 76 for a two-stroke victory. Overall, he posted three Top 10 finishes to lead the Bisons in scoring this fall. His 148 total at the Cornell Invitational at Robert Trent Jones Golf Course Sept. 22-23 left Bernard tied for fourth individually. He finished tied for 10th in the Colgate Invitational Sept. 8-9 at Seven Oaks Golf Club in Hamilton, N.Y. In recognition of his efforts, Bernard was named the Patriot League Male Golfer of the Month for September. He carried that stellar play into October. He paced the Bisons at the Binghamton Invitational Oct. 7-8 at the Links at Hiawatha in Apalachin, N.Y. Bernard's 146-total put him into fifth place individually.
James Braunsberg of Blue Bell Country Club, a senior at Drexel University, led the Dragons in scoring at the Big 5 Invitational at Philmont Country Club Oct. 13-14. The Plymouth Meeting, Pa. resident posted a 156-total to place tied for 30th individually.
Matthew Burkhart of Meadia Heights Golf Club, a senior at Messiah College, continues to excel at the collegiate level. The Lancaster, Pa. resident captured medalist honors in the school's Fall Classic Sept. 11 with a 2-under-par 70. He won the individual title at the PSU-Harrisburg Invitational Sept. 22 at Dauphin Highlands with rounds of 70 and 68. Burkhart boosted the Falcons to victory in the Elizabethtown Classic with a second place performance at Hershey Country Club's East Course Oct. 4. He carded an even-par 71 to grab individual honors in the Ursinus Invitational at Raven's Claw Golf Club Oct. 11. Burkhart leads the Commonwealth Conference with a scoring average of 71.
Aaron Burton of Applecross Country Club and Louis Kelly of Philmont Country Club, both sophomores at Adelphi University, posted Top 10 finishes in the team's Northeast-10 Championship victory. Burton, of Wilmington, Del., carded rounds of 78 and 75 to place seventh. Kelly, of Sewell, N.J. earned runner-up honors with a 1 over 145-total. For their efforts, both Burton and Kelly were selected for the All-Northeast-10 Team.
Christopher Crawford of Spring Mill Country Club, a freshman at Drexel University, is off to a sound rookie campaign. He finished fifth out of 44 golfers in the 24th Leo Keenan Invitational Sept. 16-17 with a 147 total. The Bensalem, Pa. resident launched the Dragons to victory in the Swarthmore Fall Invitational Sept. 24. Crawford carded a 1-over-par 72 to capture medalist honors at Rock Manor Golf Club. He seized eighth place individually in the CHAMP/Patriot Intercollegiate tournament hosted by George Mason Oct. 11-12 with a score of 214.
Daniel Costello of Spring Mill Country Club, a senior at Holy Family University, paced the Tigers in the Dowling September Shootout at Long Island National Golf Course Sept. 21-22 in Riverhead, N.Y. The Richboro, Pa. resident finished the two-round event with a 160-total.
Brandon Dalinka of The Ridge at Back Brook, a sophomore at the University of North Carolina, posted his best finish of the fall season at the Tar Heel Intercollegiate Sept. 15-16. The Newtown, Pa. resident compiled a 1 over 217-total to place tied for 12th individually.
Christopher Fuga of Phoenixville Country Club, a sophomore at Coker College, led the Cobras in scoring at two events this fall. The Phoenixville, Pa. resident posted a 3-over 147 total in the Kiawah Island Invitational Sept. 17-18. He placed tied for fifth out of 81 golfers in the Jay Jennison Memorial Sept. 24-25 at The Palencia Club in St. Augustine, Fla.
Daniel Furman of Commonwealth National Golf Club, a freshman at Franklin & Marshall University, led the Diplomats to a runner-up finish in the school's Invitational at Bent Creek Country Club Sept. 17. The Blue Bell, Pa. resident posted a 3-over-par 74. He finished tied for third in the Ted Keller Memorial at Hunting Hawk Country Club Oct. 6. Furman's 148 total propelled the Diplomats to a third place showing.
Joseph Gunerman of Jericho National Golf Club, a junior at Towson University, thrust the Tigers into the finals of the STX Match Play Tournament Sept. 8-11. The Yardley, Pa. resident sank a five-footer for birdie on the first playoff hole against Fairfield University in the semifinals. Towson went on to defeat George Mason for the title. Gunerman also paced Towson at the Binghamton Invitational Oct. 8-9 with a ninth place finish. He scored well in the Autotrader.com Collegiate Classic Oct. 15-16, placing 19th among 88 golfers.
Chas Hudacek of Glenmaura National Golf Club, a junior at the University of Scranton, was named Empire 8 Conference Golfer of the Week Sept. 4. The Moosic, Pa. resident carded an even-par 72 to share medalist honors and to lead the Royals to their fourth consecutive victory in the Utica College Fall Invitational at Skenonda Golf Club.
Greg Jarmas of Philadelphia Publinks GA, a junior at Princeton University, led the Tigers to a fifth place finish in the 19-team Big Five Classic at Philmont Country Club Oct. 13-14. The Wynnewood, Pa. resident shared runner-up honors with a score of 6-over 146.
Michael Johnson of Talamore Country Club, a junior at La Salle University, led the Explorers in scoring at three events this fall. The Ambler, Pa. resident placed tied for 28th in the Navy Fall Classic Sept. 8-9. He placed tied for seventh in the Leo Keenan Invitational Sept. 16-17. He finished fifth out of 25 golfers in the ECAC Championship Sept. 30-Oct. 1 at Twisted Dune Golf Club. Johnson filed a 7 over 151 total.
Michael Kania of Overbrook Golf Club, a senior at Villanova University, led the Wildcats in scoring at three events this fall. The Haverford, Pa. resident filed a 4 over 220 total to place 19th individually in the Turning Stone Intercollegiate Final at Kaluhyat Golf Course in Verona, N.Y. Sept. 2-3. He finished third overall with the same score, in relation to par, in the Adams Cup of Newport Sept. 17-18. Kania earned co-runner-up honors in the CHAMPS/Patriot Intercollegiate Sept. 29-30 with rounds of 71, 72 and 68.
Connor Lefever of Lancaster Country Club, a junior at West Chester University, spearheaded the Rams' victory in the Hal Hansen Invitational Sept. 9-10 at Clarion Oaks Golf Club in Clarion, Pa. The Lancaster, Pa. resident posted a 146 total. Also contributing to the team's victory were Ryan Fogel of Penn Oaks Golf Club, Austin Mann of Spring Ford Country Club and Eric Slawter of St. Davids Golf Club. Mann, of Collegeville, Pa., finished third individually in the Mercyhurst Fall Invitational Oct. 13-14 at Downing Golf Course in Harborcreek, Pa. with a 145 total.
Brandon Matthews of Fox Hill Country Club, a freshman at Temple University, is surging at the collegiate level. The Dupont, Pa. resident carded the best round by an Owls' golfer in 39 years at The McLaughlin Sept. 15-16 on Bethpage's Red Course in Farmingdale, N.Y. Matthews closed with a 6-under-par 64 to supplement rounds of 72 and 74. He earned medalist honors in the Hartford Hawk Invitational Sept. 24-25 at Bull's Bridge Golf Club in South Kent, Conn. Matthews prevailed in a three-way playoff after posting rounds of 67, 68 and 72. He followed with an individual triumph in the Big 5 Invitational at Philmont Country Club Oct. 13-14. Matthews fired rounds of 76 and 69. In recognition of his remarkable achievements, Matthews was named the Atlantic 10 Golf Rookie of the Week for three consecutive weeks, the Atlantic 10 Player of the Week and named the Under Armour Athlete of the Month for September.
Erik Meyer of Glen Oak Country Club, a sophomore at the University of Scranton, earned a pair of accolades this fall. The Clarks Summit, Pa. resident was named Empire 8 Conference Golfer of the Week on two occasions. He carded a 5-under-par 67 at Scranton Municipal Golf Course to grab medalist honors and to lead the Royals to victory over Baptist Bible College Sept. 5. Meyer retained the honor a week later following his performance in the first two rounds of the conference's 2013 championships at Yahnudasis Golf Club in New Hartford, N.Y. He carded rounds of 69 and 75 to grab a three-stroke lead. Furthermore, Meyer fired a 2-under-par 70 in a match against Wilkes University Sept. 28 at Huntsville Golf Club, earning medalist honors and leading his team to another win. He leads the Royals in scoring with a 73.2 average.
Robert Moratt of Yardley Country Club, a senior at Holy Family University, led the Tigers in scoring at the Northeast Intercollegiate Championship Sept. 16-17 at Timberlin Golf Course in Waterbury, Conn. The Fairless Hills, Pa. resident posted a 161-total to place tied for 26th individually. He also led the way in the Charger Challenge at Spook Rock Golf Course Oct. 8-9 in Suffern, N.Y. with a score of 158.
Tim Pici of Chester Valley Golf Club, a senior at Alvernia University, shared medalist honors in the Albright College Dual Match at Berkshire Country Club Sept. 10. The Malvern, Pa. resident carded a 2-over-par 73. He led the Crusaders to a third-place finish in the Elizabethtown Invitational Oct. 4 at Hershey Country Club's East Course with a score of 75.
Patrick Rooney of St. Davids Golf Club, a junior at Cabrini College, paced the Cavaliers to fifth place in the Philadelphia University Invitational Oct. 9 at The ACE Club. The Havertown, Pa. resident posted a 7-over-par 79 to place tied for ninth individually. He also launched Cabrini to a Philadelphia University Tri-Match triumph Oct. 3 at the same venue. Rooney registered a 78 to earn co-runner-up honors.
Patrick Ross of Glenmaura National Golf Club, a senior at Hartford University, led the Hawks to victory in the school's Invitational Sept. 24-25 at Bull's Bridge Golf Club in South Kent, Conn. The Dunmore, Pa. resident followed an opening 69 with a pair of 73s to post a 215 total, a stroke off the individual lead.
T.J. Summers of Commonwealth National Golf Club, a freshman at Saint Joseph's University, led the Hawks in scoring at the Big 5 Invitational at Philmont Country Club's North Course Oct. 13-14. The Doylestown, Pa. resident posted rounds of 85 and 80 for a 165 total.
Bobby Svigals of Radnor Valley Country Club, a sophomore at Franklin & Marshall University, contributed to the Diplomats' victory in the Messiah Falcons Classic Sept. 11 at Blue Ridge Country Club. The Villanova, Pa. resident carded a 4-over-par 76.
Oliver White of Manufacturers Golf & Country Club, a junior at Allegheny College, led the Gators in scoring at the St. John Fisher Collegiate Invitational Sept. 8-9 at Stafford Country Club in Stafford, N.Y. The Lower Gwynedd, Pa. resident finished the 27-hole affair third with a 3-under, 105-total. He also finished third individually in the Guy W. Kuhn Invitational Sept. 16-17 with a 145 total. He was named North Coast Athletic Conference Player of the Week for his efforts. White capped those performances with a triumph in the Rosencrans Maurer Invitational. He carded rounds of 69 and 72 to boost the Gators to victory. It was White's best finish of his collegiate career to date.
